SAF111 - Principal Automotive Functional Safety Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing an Efficient Methodology for Safety Verification
- Utilize verification toolkit, similar to Zebu, Veloce or Palladium Emulator and KaleidoScope,
- VCZOIX or Xcelium Simulator, to establish a robust safety verification methodology.
- Define and implement best practices for safety verification.
- Create comprehensive safety verification plans and test cases.
- Perform verification activities and analyze results to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Takes responsibility for the functional (including safety) requirements.
- Evaluate architectures for functional safety acceptability, while offering guidance to bridge gaps.
Developing a Safety Culture
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote safety awareness among design and
- verification teams.
- Develop and implement safety processes and procedures.
- Integrate safety culture practices into daily operations and project management.
- Monitor and report on the adoption of safety practices within the teams.
Lead and Assist in Automotive SOC Safety Certification
- Lead the preparation and documentation required for safety certification.
- Collaborate with certification bodies and address their requirements.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance throughout the certification process.
- Ensure all certification activities align with the established safety methodology.
- Audits processes and technically assessing safety related product
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in automotive functional safety and SOC verification.
- Proficiency with Zebu, Veloce or Palladium Emulator and KaleidoScope, VCZOIX or Xcelium Simulator.
- Strong knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and certification processes.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing safety methodologies and processes.
- Excellent communication and training skills to foster a safety culture.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience
- 10-15 years of related experience
- Understanding of software development processes and scripting (e.g. Python, TCL, Shell scripting)
- UNIX/Linux user knowledge
